These rulers serve as an orientation and measurement device that exposes metric ruler markings directly onto x-ray film. You can affix these rulers to a dried gel or membrane and then place it flush against a film. With normal exposure, the sharp ruler marking will appear on the film as a permanent marking. It is a nonradioactive subtitute for ink markings, and is ideal for autoradiography and chemiluminescence. Since the phosphorescent emission of each ruler can be regenerated indefinitely, it can be reused any number of times.
